What does a Farmount volunteer do?
Many families want a kitchen garden or want their land farmed, but have no time. Farmount volunteers are local people who do this work for them — in their own panchayath, close to home.
Typical tasks: setting up grow bags and terrace gardens, planting saplings, watering, weeding, applying organic manure, pruning and harvesting. Each task is assigned through Farmount and paid per task.
It is ideal for students, homemakers, retired people, farmers with free time — anyone who enjoys working with plants.

Do I need my own tools?
